A Special Thanks to all our Veteran’s and everyone that participated in the Veteran’s Day Program on November 12th. We need to honor our Veterans everyday for their service and sacrifices they have made to keep our country free.

We will have a ribbon cutting for Shoe Department on Thursday, November 16th at 10 a.m. located next to the new Five Below Store. Everyone is invited and welcome to come out.

The Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be this Saturday, November 17th at the Senior Citizen’s Facility at Black Creek Park. We will have biscuits and coffee beginning at 7:30 a.m., program begins at 8 and over by 9 a.m. Our guest speaker will be Bob Waldrep, he founded Crosswinds Foundation for Faith and Culture. I am sure everyone will enjoy hearing him speak so come on out and get the Thanksgiving Season started with us.

On Sunday, November 18th there will be City wide Thanksgiving Service at New Georgia Baptist Church beginning at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come out and worship.

The Arts After Dark will be at Iberia Bank on Thursday, November 29th from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Mark your calendar for the Christmas Tree Lighting Tuesday, December 4th at 6 p.m. at Black Creek Park. So plan to bring the family out for pictures with Santa.

Please remember Mrs. JoAnn Loden in your prayers. She has been sick and in the hospital. We hope she is better and back home soon.

Our heartfelt sympathies goes to the Family of Gene Fallon. Mr. Gene passed away last Friday unexpected. Please remember his two girls in your prayers. Mr. Gene was a great friend to so many and we will miss him.
