For the 10th year, The Cullman Times is sponsoring the Cares & Shares food drive for Cullman Caring for Kids.

The Times collects non-perishable food and cash donations to help local families that are experiencing economic hardships.

The food drive will continue through Friday. Area schools, organizations, churches and individuals have provided thousands of dollars and thousands of pounds of food during Cares & Shares by bringing their donations to The Times.

One of the top years for the food drive provided more than 180,000 pounds of food through a combination of cash and food. All proceeds from the food drive benefit local families. Bring donations to The Times,  through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., at 300 Fourth Avenue SE, or to Cullman Caring For Kids at 402 Arnold Street NE.
