Cullman Police are investigating a stabbing Sunday night that left one person injured Sunday night at a motel.

Roland Wayne Cleghorn was found with injuries at the Economy Inn at 1834 2nd Ave. NW (U.S. 31 North) when police arrived was stabbed at the Economy Inn at 1834 Second Ave. NW (U.S. Highway 31 North) Sunday night, said Sgt. Intae Suh, who is leading the investigation.

“There is not an arrest at this time, but the investigation is underway,” Suh said.

Officers responded to a reported robbery at the motel and Cleghorn at the scene. He told officers he had been robbed.

Cleghorn was take to Cullman Regional for treatment and was later released.
