After climbing back to the top of the polls for the first time since the preseason, Pinson Valley (6-1, 5-0 Class 6A, Region 6) flexed its muscles against the Huffman Vikings (1-7), pulling the road win by a count of 41-6.

Pinson Valley rode the arm of Bo Nix, who completed 26 of 40 passes for 390 yards and six touchdowns. His favorite target, Keyonteze Johnson, had himself a night, hauling in 13 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown.

The Indians rang up 471 yards of offense. They held their hosts to 249 yards of offense and just 4.6 yards per play. The defense was led by Antoine Williams, who secured eight tackles, and Rhasaan Christian, who finished with six tackles.

Pinson Valley host Pell City next week in region play.
