5 face drug charges in separate cases

Five people have been arrested by Cullman Police Department officers in separate drug investigations over the last two weeks.

During a search warrant executed by the Cullman City Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) on 3rd Avenue SE, officers recovered heroin and drug paraphernalia from the residence. Trevor Nunnery, 30, of Cullman was charged with unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Nunnery was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center where he was booked in and has since been released.

The Crime Suppression Unit also arrested Sarah Rose Adcock, 26, of Cullman, in a separate case on three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for allegedly selling heroin and pills. Adcock was arrested at her residence and transported to the Cullman County Detention Center where she was booked in and has since been released.

Crime Suppression Unit officers also arrested Mikayla Delaine Burleson, 21, of Cullman, on two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for allegedly selling methamphetamine. Burleson was arrested and booked in at the Cullman County Detention Center and has since been released on bond.

On Wednesday, officers made a vehicle stop after observing a traffic violation and with the assistance of Cullman County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputy Clayton Dew performed a search. Officers recovered two handguns, one of which had been reported stolen. Officers also recovered approximately 18 grams of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.

Millard Terry Kendrick III, 35, and Kathryn Marie Scoggins, 31, both of Leeds, were arrested. Kendrick was placed under arrest for unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, and certain persons forbidden to possess pistol.

Scoggins was arrested for unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing justice using a false identity after Scoggins used a false name and other information to try and conceal her real identity.

Officers were able to obtain Scoggins true identity and discovered that she had an outstanding felony warrant. Kendrick was on probation at the time of his arrest and also had an outstanding warrant. Both suspects were transported to the Cullman County Detention Center where they were booked.

Kendrick remains still incarcerated and Scoggins has since been released, according to a release from the Cullman Police Department.
