Camp Liberty intern charged with rape

A Texas man has been charged with second-degree rape over the weekend after an incident involving a minor.
The suspect, 19, of Buda, Texas, was arrested by investigators with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office after the alleged incident occurred at Camp Liberty in West Point, according to information released by the sheriff’s office.
According to the sheriff’s office, the man was an intern at Camp Liberty at the time of his arrest. The sheriff’s office reported he had alleged inappropriate contact with a minor.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was booked at the Cullman County Detention Center and made bond. Further details are not being released due to the alleged victim’s age.
