Cullman Regional Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for valuable medical services through various events and the support of many faithful donors.
The next effort by the Foundation is the 27th annual Million Dollar Hole-In-One Extravaganza on Sept. 10 at TP Country Club. The goal is to raise $85,000 toward the purchase of $350,000 worth of cardiac monitors and defibrillators for Cullman Regional’s ambulance fleet.
The new equipment will provide better technology for paramedics and emergency medical technicians to use.
Through the years, the Foundation’s board of directors, all volunteers from within the community, have assisted Cullman Regional in buying new equipment for hospital rooms and countless other projects that improve health care for area residents.
The annual golf tournament has enjoyed tremendous success through the years. Participation in filling the four-person scrambles at $150 per golfer has consistently been done by local golf enthusiasts. At the end of play, the hole-in-one contest places $1 million on the line. There are also other prizes throughout the day that are both fun and rewarding.
The Foundation also sponsors an annual gala that has raised thousands of dollars each each year because of the generous participation of the community.
Health care costs, particularly equipment, are demanding on any medical institution’s budget. Having the assistance of a foundation made up of citizens who care about the quality of life in their area has played an important role in making the local hospital a regional center for health services.
As the golf tournament, which includes many chances to participate and win prizes, approaches, this is a great opportunity for local businesses and individuals to make a meaningful contribution that will directly benefit residents.

The Foundation deserves a lot of credit for its work in the community. We encourage anyone who is able to join in the golf tournament or purchase sponsorships so that the local ambulance fleet has the best equipment available for saving lives.
