WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to keep families together at the border, but says the ‘zero-tolerance’ prosecution policy will continue.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen drafted an executive action for Trump that would direct her department to keep families together after they are detained crossing the border illegally.
“We want to keep families together,” he said.
