The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced today it has obtained warrants to charge Nicholas Cameron McCloy, 16, with two counts of sexual torture. According to a release from the sheriff’s office, the victim in the case was 11-years-old.

The case was originally investigated after a staff member at Pinson Valley High School filed a complaint with the school that the suspect had allegedly assaulted the victim. The alleged incident reportedly occurred in February and was not school-related.

According to deputies, McCloy admitted to assaulting he victim and was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail. He is currently being held on $500,000 bond.
