The body of the missing wife of a Moulton City Council member was found Sunday in a vehicle in Bankhead National Forest in Winston County.
Several news organizations, including Al.com, the Decatur Daily and the Moulton Advertiser, that have followed the case of Jennifer Marshell White, 55, reported the discovery of her body Sunday, which was confirmed by law enforcement officials.
Moulton Police Chief Lyndon McWhorter, citing Winston County officials, told AL.com that White’s body was found Sunday afternoon. McWhorter said he left the scene so he could not be 100 percent certain it was White because he wasn’t at the crime scene, but said the Winston County Sheriff told him, “it’s her.”
White’s vehicle was found Sunday, the private investigator leading a search party confirmed to AL.com.
The Winston County Sheriff’s Office and the Winston County coroner were on the scene near Alabama 33 in Bankhead National Forest.
White – a 55-year-old nurse, grandmother and wife of Moulton City Councilman Brent White – was last seen at around 1:30 p.m. April 8, where convenience store footage showed her buying gas about a mile from her home.
