Small fire contained outside Warehouse Discount Grocery

A fire outside of  Warehouse Discount Grocery on Alabama 157 was quickly contained Tuesday, leaving no damage to the building.

Fire Chief Brian Bradberry said the fire was reported just before 2 p.m. when rubbish near the air condition unit caught fire, causing some smoke to enter into the building.

“Sometimes the belts or motors on the unit will wear out and send a lot of smoke out, but this contained quickly and didn;t damage the store,” he said. “There were no injuries.”
