Cheerleading champions honored by council

The Gardendale City Council honored the winners of the North Jefferson Area Cheer Competition at its meeting on Monday.
The 2017 95-lb cheerleading champions are Elliott Barckley, Kenzie Binzel, Isabella Christy, Sereniti Clark, Emma Cowgill, Ally Davis, LC Faull, Berkley Fuller, Alyssa Hays, Ainsley Howell, Mallory Kemp, Brooke Lewis, Karsyn Painter and Zoe Taylor. Their coaches are Bethany Fuller and Ashleigh Davis.
The 2017 135-lb cheerleading champions are Lana Bley, Tayler Brunson, Jesslyn Buzbee, Sallie Byars, Marley Croxton, Brooklynn Dunaway, Skylar Erwin, Lily Freihage, Gracie Hulsey, Sailor Latham, Zoe Price, Lizzie Putman, Mia Ramirez, Brylee Reeves, Jenna Salters, Marissa Stephens, Sarah Tubbs and Kendall Young. The coaches are Marilyn Glasgow and Tara Salters.
