- Engineer John Hyde explains an addition planned for Inland Buildings during an August Cullman Planning Commission meeting.
Cell phone service could soon be improving on the southwest side of Cullman with city’s planning commission recommending upgrades to the city council.
On Monday, the Cullman Planning Commission approved a request to co-locate a cell tower and add antennas at a property in the 1900 block of Second Avenue Southwest. The city council will now decide whether to approve the improvements.
In other business the planning commission approved an annexation request for property in the 1400 block of County Road 1466. However, it gave an unfavorable recommendation on a separate annexation request for property located at the corner of county roads 703 and 706.
The land didn’t touch any incorporated property in Cullman city limits and doesn’t meet the requirement to be annexed.
Both annexation requests will still go on to the city council for consideration.
