Wednesday night, deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on a suspected gambling hall in the 1600 block of K.C. Dement Road in Fultondale.
The search warrant came after a two-week investigation into the location following a tip from the public, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies seized 34 illegal gambling machines, cash and records they believe document past gambling.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and will be presented to the district attorney’s office when complete. No arrests were announced from the raid but the sheriff’s office said they were expected.
