With roads in declining condition, the traffic light at Alabama 157 and Eva Road is on flashing.

The lights is flashing amber for trucks and other motorists on 157, and flashing red for motorists coming from either direction on Convent, said Cullman Police Chief Kenny Culpepper.

“The traffic on 157 will have the right-of-way; it’s a caution to slow down. In these road conditions it is difficult for a large truck to stop, so anyone stopped at Eva needs to look carefully before pulling out,” Culpepper said.

The flashing light will continue Wednesday morning as roads are expected to remain difficult to maneuver through the day.
