It came as no surprise on Wednesday when Pinson Valley junior quarterback Bo Nix, son of Indians’ head coach and former Auburn great Patrick Nix, made a verbal pledge to further his academic and athletic career on the Plains.

The Class 6A Super 7 MVP made his announcement via video.

Nix has been voted an All-State performer by the Alabama Sports Writers Association, and is currently up for the Class 6A Back of the Year award, which will be announced on Jan. 17 in Montgomery.

Listed at 6-foot-1, the Auburn legacy is a four-star dual-threat signal caller according to 247sports. He named a top three of Auburn, Clemson and Ohio State on Dec. 18.
