Good Hope gets new patrol deputy

GOOD HOPE — The City of Good Hope has a new deputy patrolling its streets. 

Mayor Jerry Bartlett introduced Deputy Vaughn Lambert as the city’s deputy at the Good Hope City Council meeting Monday night.

“I’ve heard nothing but good things about him,” he said. “He’s got tons of experience and I think he’s going to make us a great deputy.” 

Lambert was hired by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 3, after spending the last several years as a K-9 officer at the Falkville Police Department. 

He has previously worked at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and the Hanceville Police Department. 

Lambert said he was excited to get to work in Good Hope. 

“I feel great about it,” he said. “I’m eager to do a good job here.”
