- Scott Stadhagen signs qualifying papers for the Alabama House of Representatives District 9 seat, accompanied by his wife, Amy Peck Stadthagen, and son, Collins.
Five Republicans qualified for local office today with the Cullman County GOP to run in the 2018 primary.
Current Probate Judge Tammy Brown, Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick, Cullman County School Board member Mike Graves of Vinemont, and Cullman County Associate Commissioners Garry Marchman and Kerry Watson all qualified to run for their current positions.
A Hartselle business owner has entered the race for the District 9 Alabama House of Representatives seat currently held by Republican Ed Henry, who last year said he would not seek reelection.
Scott Stadthagen made his intent for office known today at Republican headquarters in Birmingham. He is the owner of Hagen Home and serves as chair of the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce.
A graduate of West Alabama University, Stadhagen is a member of the economic development group of Hartselle, the Morgan County Builders Association, Hartselle Rotary, Hartselle Kiwanis, Leadership of Hartselle and the National Rifle Association, according a news release from the candidate.
“I want to be the people’s voice and to represent all of the communities that make up District 9. Ensuring that our area sees results from my time spent in Montgomery. Across District 9, our school systems are the foundation of our communities. We need to make sure they are treated as such,” his release stated.
