(RNN) – Some Walt Disney World hotels are getting rid of the “do not disturb” signs that are often hung on hotel room doors.

In its place, they are opting for “room occupied” signs, according to CNN Money. 

Guests won’t have the sign to use because hotel staff are authoritied to enter the hotel every day to ensure guests are safe, Walt Disney World Today reported.

The new signs say, “The Disney Resort hotel and its staff reserve the right to enter your room, even when this sign is displayed, for maintenance, safety, security or any other purpose.” 

Disney’s staff will warn guests before entering the room by knocking.

The new policy is in place at the Walt Disney Contemporary Resorts, Grand Floridian and Polynesian, and will be rolled out at other Walt Disney World properties in coming weeks, Walt Disney World Today said.

Hilton made a similar change to its room entry policy, requiring staff to notify management if a “do not disturb” sign is left on a room door for more than 24 hours, Hotel Management reported.

The new policy thought to be spurred by the Las Vegas mass shooting in October, which was carried out from a high-rise hotel room at Mandalay Bay Resort by a man with multiple weapons and loads of ammo. In that attack, 58 people died and more than 500 were injured.
