Cullman County Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay on Thursday and Friday due to the extreme cold temperatures in the area.
County Schools Superintendent Shane Barnette said the delay applies to county students, but employees will report in at their regular times.
He said the delay will allow bus drivers to ensure that their buses have no issues with the cold weather.
“We just want to make sure that they’ll be able to crank the buses and get out to pick up the students,” he said.
Buses will run their regular routes, but will be running two hours later, he said.
