Water leak freezing portion of U.S. 278 E lane

- The City of Cullman Street Department crews spread a brine solution along Highway 278 next to First United Methodist Church in Cullman.
A water leak on the north side of First United Methodist Church in Cullman is making the eastbound lane of U.S. 278 treacherous for drivers.
City officials are at the scene, but portions of the right-side lane heading east is frozen. Motorists are advised to slow down in the area and avoid that lane until making it through the intersection.
