Traffic signals restored at U.S. 278/4th Avenue

The traffic signal at U.S. 278 and 4th Avenue has been repaired following two morning wrecks at the location.

The first wreck, in the early morning hours, caused the outage, according to information from the Cullman mayor’s office

A second wreck happened at the intersection of U.S. 278 and 4th Avenue next to The Cullman Times around 9:15. Cullman police officers directed traffic for two hours until the signals were restored.

The traffic signal has been out since early this morning following a wreck, according to information provided by the Cullman mayor’s office. Efforts are under way to repair the traffic signals.

Police, fire and medical services units are on the scene of the wreck, which happened about 9:15.

Stop signs have been placed in all directions leading to the intersection and motorists should slow down when approaching the area.
