Six hurt in two wrecks Monday

Two wrecks Monday morning injured six local residents, Alabama State Troopers reported.
The first occurred on Alabama 157 at County Road 1184 nearby Temple Baptist Church at about 8:25 a.m. and involved two vehicles. Troopers identified the injured drivers as Allison Gann, 32, and Elizabeth Swann, 37, both of Vinemont, and Swann’s injured passenger as David Swann, 43, of Vinemont.
Troopers said all three were wearing seat belts. The wreck slowed eastbound traffic, and Cullman EMS, Cullman Fire Rescue and the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene along with a medical helicopter. Conditions of those injured were not immediately available Monday.
The second wreck occurred on U.S. 31 at 10:05 a.m., injuring drivers Elvi Freeman, 91, of Cullman, and Joseph Williams, 35, of Hanceville and Williams’ passenger, Misty Davis, 34, of Cullman. All three were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
No other information was available, and the wrecks remain under investigation.
