Multiple-vehicle wreck at Dodge City exit snarls southbound I-65 traffic

The Alabama Department of Transportation will close the I-59/20 southbound entrance ramp from 31st Street North at midnight Monday, Nov. 27 as it continues work at the I-65 interchange.

Weather permitting, the ramp will reoopen at the completion of the mainline downtown bridges in 2020. This work is a part of Phase III of the I-59/20 Central Business District (CBD) Interchange and Bridge Replacement Project.

Message boards and all necessary traffic controls will be in place.

Motorists should use alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
