Fall festivals plentiful today, next week

- Children will have plenty of chances for the sweet treats of the season with area Fall Festivals today and next week.

With Halloween right around the corner, many local churches and community organizations are hosting fall festival and trunk or treats throughout this weekend and next week.
* Tractor Supply Pet Photography and Trick or Treating
Tractor Supply Company is inviting customers to attend a Halloween Pet Photography event at its Cullman store on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at 1807 Second Ave S.W..
A local photographer will be on site shooting Halloween-themed photos of customers’ four-legged family members and the first 25 customers who get their photo taken will also receive a free magnetic picture frame. Participating event partners will include Pet Costume Judging on-site 6:30-7:30 p.m. and CAAWA- Pet Adoptions from 6-8 p.m. Customers will also have the opportunity to enjoy trick or treating.
* East Side’s Fall Festival
East Side Baptist Church is sponsoring a fall festival from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Lions Club Park, 1315 7th St. SE, Cullman. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be free games, prizes and food. Donations of pre-wrapped, bagged candy will be accepted day of festival.
* Refuge Church
Fall Festival
The Refuge Church, 1115 East, US-278, Cullman, will hold a fall festive from 6-8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Candy, food, games, hayrides, s’mores and more. Kid-friendly event, no scary costumes. For more information, contact Kristi Moore at 256-347-0091.
* Emus Baptist Church Trunk or Treat
Emus Baptist Church at 2246 County Road 831 in Logan will hold a trunk or treat for kids at 6 p.m. Saturday in the church parking lot, with food and drinks in the fellowship hall for all. Children must be accompanied by a parent. Costumes are allowed for extra fun. No registration required.
* Paul’s Store Fall Festival
This fundraiser fall festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Paul’s Store at the Cullman Flea Market, 415 Lincoln Ave. SW, Cullman. Kids’ costume contest at 1 p.m. Bouncy house is available, games with prizes for all players, a skit at noon with arrival of superhero Batman, and see the superhero trucks of Batman and Superman. Harley Quinn will also make an appearance. Characters and trucks will be available for photos, bring cameras/phones All events are free. Raffle tickets for donated items are $1/chance. $5 donations will give one six chances. Proceeds from raffles to go to NBIA (Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation) Disorders Research.
* Cullman Police
Trunk or Treat
The Cullman Police Department is offering another place for kids to enjoy Halloween treats with Trunk or Treating. Set for 6-8 p.m. on Halloween evening, the police cruiser trunks will be open and offering plenty of candy for families at the police station at 601 2nd Avenue NE in Cullman. Officers will also be accepting donations for the department’s Shop With A Cop program that benefits local families.
* Crosshaven Church
Fall Festival
Crosshaven Church, 9131 Highway 31 S, Hanceville, will hold a family fall festival with trunk-or-treat and inflatables from 6-8 p.m. on Halloween night. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
* Ole Time Way Trunk or Treat
Ole Time Way Baptist Church, 1530 Highway 157, Cullman, will hold a trunk or treat from 6-8 p.m. on Halloween night. For more information, call Susan Long at 256-739-1333.
* Fairview Lions Club Harvest Festival and movie
The Fairview Lions Club will host a harvest festival and show the movie, “Frankenweenie” on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Randall Shedd Community Park, 605 Wesley Ave. N, Fairview. The festival will also include a costume contest, pumpkin painting and games. Festivities begins at 4 p.m.; movie at 6 p.m. Concessions available.
