Mortimer Jordan cheer

Three local football teams have moved their Week 9 games up to Thursday.

According to the Mortimer Jordan football Twitter account, this week’s game at Hayden—a de facto Region 6 championship game—has been moved from Friday, Oct. 27 to Thursday Oct. 26.

The game will be at 7 p.m. in Robert W. Reid Stadium in Hayden.

Fultondale also bumped its home game against Locust Fork up to Thursday. The Wildcats, much like Mortimer Jordan, can hammer down a region championship on Thursday night.

Gardendale followed suit, moving its Region 6 bout with Center Point up to Thursday. 

According to weather.com, there is a 70 percent chance of rain in the Birmingham area on Friday.
