Separate investigations by the Cullman Police Department led to the arrests of two people involving methamphetamine.
Megan Nail James, 33, of Cullman, was charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance after an investigation by Sgt. Chris Thomason, officers Trey Higginbotham, Dustin Colburn and Cole Kelley, according to information provided by the police department.
Officers reported James allegedly sold methamphetamine on two occasions during an undercover operation and was arrested Wednesday.
She is being held at the Cullman County Detention on a $60,000 property bond.
In a separate incident, on Oct. 7, Sgt. Thomason, Investigator Justin Craft and officers Higginbotham, Kelley and Colburn were conducting an undercover operation where Melissa Kay Rock, 42, was arrested for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the operation, Rock sold a half-ounce (approximately 14 grams) of methamphetamine to officers, according to a police department news release.
At the time she was arrested, officers also served two outstanding felony warrants on Rock for two more counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Those warrants stemmed from where Rock had previously sold methamphetamines to them. Rock was placed in the Cullman County Detention Center where she has since made bond, according to the police news release.
Rock is a resident of Huntsville but had been living in the City of Cullman recently.
