It’s been a perfect two-year run for the North Jefferson Middle School volleyball team.

Head coach Tonya Helm and her Blue Devils recently capped off the 2017 season with another Jefferson County Tournament championship at Corner High School. North Jefferson notched wins over Fultondale, Corner and Hueytown twice on its way to earning a fifth straight Jefferson County Volleyball Tournament championship.

According to Helm, the Blue Devils have gone a perfect 42-0 over the last two seasons (21-0 record both years).

That middle school success seems to be spilling over to the high school ranks, as Mortimer Jordan head coach Kelsey Treadaway recently won the Jefferson County High School Tournament championship after securing her 100th win as a Blue Devil.
