The 91 Homemakers Club met Aug. 10, at the home of Casey Thomas with Ellie Brasfield serving as hostess.

President Mabra Hulsey called the meeting to order. Vice President Terri Sapp led the pledge to the flag.

Ellie read some quotes from President Lincoln for the devotion.

Regular business was conducted and the President reminded members to pack knapsacks on Aug. 31.

Guest speakers were State Representative Corey Harbison and County Commissioner Gary Marchman. They both gave a very informative talk about their jobs and the responsibilities in office. This was followed by a question and answer session.

Lennie McCain received birthday wishes and Sue Evans and Juanita Latta had anniversary wishes.

Lunch was served and an afternoon of Bingo ensued.

Others attending were Mary Bernard, Faith Hammock, Dot Mays and Wanda Sanders. Visitor was Lynn Campbell.

Sue Evans will host the September meeting.
