A new medical call center in Cullman is set to open in the next few months, and will bring more than 100 jobs to the area when it does.

Sequence Health is currently building a 15,000 square foot building that will serve as the new home for the center, which will offer patient acquisition, management, and retention solutions within the health care field.

Sequence Health Contact Center Director Brian Malone said the company is looking at mid-November or early December for the new building to open.

“I’m very proud of it,” Malone said. “They’ve done a fantastic job.”

With the new building, located in Cullman Industrial Park III, Sequence Health is aiming to add 128 jobs to Cullman over the next five years, but Malone said he hopes to see even more jobs coming to the area.

“My goal is to exceed that,” he said.

Dale Greer, director of the Cullman Economic Development Agency, said Sequence Health will expand the diversity of the local employment base.

“It’s just a totally different talent pool and work force for us,” he said.

Sequence employees are currently working out of a temporary accommodation at Wallace State Community College, which offered to incubate the company while the Sequence Health building was under construction.

Greer said Wallace State has gone above and beyond with its support.

“The project would not have been possible without Wallace and their willingness to incubate,” he said.

Malone also said Wallace State has shown a lot of support for the company while its building is under construction.

“Wallace State made us feel very at home,” he said. “They’ve been fantastic to us.”

While the temporary workplace has given the company a great head start, space at Wallace State has been limited, Malone said.

But the new call center building, he added, will remove that limitation and will let Sequence continue to grow and go after larger clients.

“We’re just excited about the future,” he said.
