Bozeman voted 2017 Fairview Alumnus of the Year

Kelley Bozeman, a 1987 graduate of Fairview High School (FHS), was recently voted 2017 Fairview High School Alumnus of the Year.
She is the daughter of Glenn and Stella Bozeman. Prior to attending Fairview High School, Bozeman attended Welti School. During her time at FHS she was involved with the National Honor Society, Key Club and served as the student council president. Following graduation, Bozeman attended the University of Alabama, earning a bachelor of arts degree in public relations and a minor in psychology.

At the University of Alabama, she worked for the university’s student newspaper, The Crimson White, where she was a member of the advertising team. She served as the student advertising manager her senior year.
She moved to Lexington, Kentucky after earning her degree to become the advertising director at the University of Kentucky’s student newspaper, The Kentucky Kernel.
During her time in Lexington, Bozeman also has served as the communications director for Commerce Lexington, an organization that combined the Greater Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Lexington United and the Lexington Partnership for Workforce Development. Commerce Lexington Inc. promotes economic development, job creation, and overall business growth in Lexington and its neighboring communities.
For the past 16 years, Bozeman has served as the Deputy Director of Brand Management/Marketing Director for the University of Kentucky.
In this role, she manages a staff of 10 and a yearly budget of $1 million. Her department oversees the institutional marketing efforts, from concept to creation, for the entire University. Bozeman also serves as the institution’s brand manager and leads the marketing efforts for the institution’s housing and dining offices and UK’s enrollment management efforts. Bozeman works closely with UK Athletics, the Office of the President, the Executive Director of Public Relations and Marketing and the Vice President for University Relations on many public relations issues, special projects and plans special events for the President and the University.
She and her team also work with many of the university’s student organizations to provide counsel, guidance and assistance in promoting their initiatives and efforts.

She is a graduate of Leadership Lexington, a past member of the Junior League of Lexington and is a member of Southland Christian Church. She volunteers her time with UK’s Christian Student Fellowship; The Lexington Dream Factory, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses; and Dance Blue, a 24-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon at UK that has raised over $11 million to fight childhood cancer in just 10 years.
When she’s not working or volunteering, she spends time watching college football and basketball, especially the Southeastern Conference.
