Windham new human resources assistant to vice president at Samford University

Cullman native Joel Windham has been named the new assistant vice president and director of human resource at Samford University. A 1991 Samford business graduate, Windham comes from Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi, where he has been vice president of human resources and organizational effectiveness. He previously worked for both Trinity Medical Center (now Grandview) and St. Vincent’s Health Systems in Birmingham.
The assistant vice president and director of human resources is responsible for administering institutional Human Resources policies and practices for staff and faculty which include employee records, benefits, staff employment, wage and salary administration, employee relations, leadership and employee development, training and performance management.
“We are pleased to have Joel’s expertise and insights for this important position,” said Lisa Imbragulio, senior associate vice president for business and financial affairs. “He is excited about returning to his alma mater and is very committed to Samford faith-based mission.”
Windham also earned a master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
