After the main building of Brick Haven burned down early Saturday morning, everyone who had a booking with the venue will receive a full refund.

Michael Keller, who owns the property with his wife, Amanda, said they were already reaching out to everyone who was booked with the venue, and refunds will be issued soon.

There was one wedding scheduled for next weekend, but that couple has already found a new venue, Keller said.

He said other local venues have been a big help by coming over the last couple of days and letting people know about any availabilities they had.

Keller said he had insurance on the building, and their agent has already been to the scene, but he does not know if the insurance will cover the costs of rebuilding

He said when they are able to rebuild the main building, it may not be the same as it was before the fire because it was built without a blueprint. It was actually designed as it was built, so there are no real plans for it, he said.

“I would like to do it the way it was, but there’s no blueprint,” Keller said.

For now, Keller said they will focus on completing another building on the property that will be used for weddings.

In the short time since the venue opened in 2016, there have probably more than 100 weddings at Brick Haven, and many had to be turned away because bookings were full, Keller said.

The construction of the other building was meant to give another space for events that could happen at the same time and is around 70 percent completed now, he said.

The new building is right beside the one that burned, but Keller said he didn’t think it received any damage from the fire.

“The firefighters did a great job,” he said.
