The building formerly housed Below Chiropractic Center and An Angel’s Touch Therapeutic Massage, both of which have moved to new locations in town, and sat between DQ Grill and Chill and Gold Rush Jewelers. On Tuesday, workers were busy knocking down the brick structure and clearing the site.

According to Cullman County property records, the owners, MEB, LLC, of the 0.45-acre tract at 406 Second Ave. N.W. sold the land to local property developer Way Properties, LLC in May for a six-figure sum.  Way Properties also owns the Dairy Queen adjacent to the property.

Attempts to someone with Way Properties Wednesday were unsuccessful, and it wasn’t immediately clear what the plans are for the site. Between 17,000 to 20,000 vehicles pass by the area daily, according to Alabama Department of Transportation traffic counts data.
