2nd Fridays kickoff event on tap downtown this afternoon

Get ready for a fun evening downtown as the initial 2nd Fridays starts at 5 p.m. today downtown.

In just a few hours, 2nd Fridays gets underway in downtown Cullman.

Organized by the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce with Cullman Parks and Recreation, the event is sponsored by  Cullman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Activities begin at 5 this afternoon and continue until 10 tonight.

The summer-long series, which takes over First Avenue in the Warehouse District on, the second Friday of each summer month, will sport new themes, new attractions, more sponsors, and plenty of live music for a fun evening downtown.

To get things kicked off today, there’ll be two stages of live music, two kids’ zones, a brand-new Artists’ Alley featuring locally-made work in different media — along with pop-ups shops, and a 10-team cornhole competition.
