Many fond farewells and tears will blend with the joy of a host of high school graduates beginning this weekend.
Hundreds of seniors from across Cullman County are preparing to begin a new chapter in life after years of passing through the hallways and classes of their respective schools. The diplomas they will accept are well deserved after years of studying.
Along with the studies came great friendships, meeting people who will always share a common bond through life. From academic accomplishment to heroics in athletics to participating in extracurricular activities, high school concludes as a celebration and an opportunity to use the knowledge gained for success.
Awaiting this group of able graduates is an economy that has pulled out of a deep recession. Some great opportunities are once again available.
With Wallace State Community College here at home or a number of good colleges and universities within reach, many students will gain additional training and specific degrees, others will opt to pursue a respected career in the military or learn and practice a trade. Whatever the direction this year’s graduates select, the possibilities for great tomorrows are endless.
We understand this is the beginning of an exciting and busy weekend as graduation ceremonies approach. Cullman County high schools will present their diplomas this weekend and Cullman High School graduates will march next Friday night.
Graduates, we salute you and join our community in saying congratulations. You’ve reached an important milestone, and we wish you great success in life.
