FAIRVIEW — Five people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Alabama 69 Thursday afternoon.
One person was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries following the wreck in front of Hopper’s Family Market around 1:45 p.m., said Fairview Fire Chief Doug Williams.
“A vehicle pulled out from the grocery store and was t-boned by another,” Williams said.
Alabama State Troopers said driver Molly Gardner, 18, of Cullman was injured from one vehicle along with the second driver Gregory Scott, 45, of Baileyton and his passengers Mary Scott, 50, Joseph Scott, 18, and a 15-year-old minor.
Troopers said everyone involved were wearing seat belts. The wreck shut down the highway while crews cleared the scene.
