Cullman police are directing traffic at one of the city’s busiest intersections, Alabama 157 and Eva Road, after the signal there malfunctioned.

The traffic light went out and began flashing shortly after 7:30 a.m., one of the busiest times of day as commuters head to work and students to school. Traffic crept along the highway or was stopped completely from 157 and U.S. 31 to 157 and Sharpton Road.

Drivers are urged to find an alternate route if at all possible until the signal can be reset.
