A storm system passing through Cullman County left several thousand homes without power, knocking some tree limbs down along the way mostly in the northern portion of the area.
Cullman County Electric Cooperative crews are restoring power for residents of about 3,000 or more homes.
No injuries were reported from the storm, which included severe thunderstorm warnings and a tornado warning as the system moved northeast from the area, said Cullman County Emergency Management Agency Director Phyllis Little.
“Most of the problems appear to be in the northern tier of the county. We may see some more thunderstorms, but we’re hoping the cooler temperatures will work in our favor,” Little said.
