Sunrise Service highlights Easter

Easter will be welcomed with a Sunrise Service at Ave Maria Grotto.

Sponsored by the Cullman Ministerial Association, the service begins at 6:30 a.m. Sunday and is open for anyone to attend. The worship service has been a tradition for many years in the area.

The Grotto is located on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey, just of U.S. 278 East.

Hopewell Baptist Church in Hanceville will also offer a sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday, followed by breakfast. An Easter musical is scheduled at the church at 10:45 a.m.

Hopewell is located at 492 County Road 582.

Events today include an a free Easter egg hunt sponsored by East Side Baptist Church from 2 to 4 p.m. at East Side Park/Lions Club Park, 1315 7thy St. SE, Cullman. Inflatables, food, games, photo booth and more are part of the event.

Hopewell Baptist Church will also host an egg hunt from 2 to 4 p.m. with prizes awarded.

A Gospel singing is scheduled at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 2830 County Road 216, Hanceville, featuring Bama Blu Grace at 6 p.m. Covered dish meal following. for more information contact Junior Quick at 256-775-6648.
