This Easter weekend brings two large local Easter egg hunts to Gardendale and Fultondale.
In Fultondale, the Don Vaughn Memorial Easter Egg Hunt will be this Saturday at Black Creek Park and it begins sharply at 10 a.m. The annual event draws large crowds from the surrounding communities.
The event is hosted by the American Legion and will have photos with the Easter Bunny as well as prize drawings.
They always have free hot dogs, chips and drinks so bring your children out for a good time and lots of eggs to hunt.
In Gardendale, the 11th annual Easter Egg hunt, hosted by the city’s Parks a Recreation Department, will be at Moncrief Park on Saturday. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. at Pavilion 1 and the hunt should begin at approximately 6 p.m. There will be prizes and a special guest appearance by the Easter Bunny. Bring your own baskets.
