A Cullman County man was killed early Tuesday when his vehicle collided with a pickup truck near Baileyton.

According to Alabama State Troopers, 26 year-old Josh Smith died when his 2001 Ford passenger car collided with a 2006 Dodge truck driven by 20 year-old Alex Walters of Baileyton.

The accident occurred on County Road 1570 in eastern Cullman County. Troopers received the call at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday.

Walters was not injured in the crash. Besides the drivers, there were no other occupants in either vehicle.

Troopers said Smith was wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.

In a separate accident Tuesday, a 76 year-old man was injured in a one-vehicle wreck on Alabama Highway 69 south of Dodge City, according to Troopers.

Frederick Henson of Bremen was injured in the 10:15 a.m. accident. He was wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
