Alabama Republican Party Chairwoman Terry Lathan will be in town Tuesday as the keynote speaker at the Cullman Republican Women’s monthly meeting.

Lathan will discuss the recent accomplishments and also goals of the Alabama GOP. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Cullman VFW post located at 112 Veterans Drive S.W. in Cullman.

The event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

Lathan hails from Mobile and has visited Cullman a number of times as state chairwoman since being elected in February 2015. She’s been active with the Alabama Republican Party for 30 years, helping to organize, chair and fundraise for countless campaigns at local, state and federal levels.

She was received the 2004 Alabama Republican of the Year and 2008 Mobile County Republican Party Lifetime Achievement Award among others. She also chaired the Mobile County Republican Executive Committee from 2010-2014 and served as various officers from 2000-2010.
