Severe thunderstorm warning issue for south central Cullman County

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for south central Cullman County.
The storm is expected to bring hail and high winds.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon, bringing threats of hail and damaging wind. A low tornado threat is included in the mix, according to the National Weather Service.
The impacted areas in north Alabama stretch from Lauderdale to Cullman and Marshall counties, as well as areas north of here.
The stronger times of the storm are expected in the afternoon and early evening.
A few lingering thunderstorms are possible Tuesday morning as a cold front moves eastward across the outlook area.
Another storm system approaching from the west may bring additional thunderstorms to the area Thursday into Friday. A few storms
may be strong to severe but the exact details and timing remain uncertain at this point, according to the weather service.
