- Smoke is seen here at Bankhead National Forest.
A controlled-burn at Bankhead National Forest in neighboring Winston County is clogging up parts of Cullman County with thick, hazy smoke.
Forestry officials are managing the annual controlled burning of underbrush, and winds are carrying it through West Point, Jones Chapel and Bethsadia among other communities.
The smoke you may be seeing out there is from a prescribed fire in Bankhead National Forest.
