Wallace State’s Evelyn Burrow Museum awarded tourism grant

The Evelyn Burrow Museum at Wallace State Community College was recently awarded a $2,000 grant by the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association.

The grant will be used to promote exhibitions and tourism in the region. Burrow Museum Director Donny Wilson was on hand to receive the award from Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association President Tami Reist.  

The Burrow Museum is currently showing “Out of the Depths,” an exhibition that reflects on the refugee crisis in Europe and the Middle East through a series of paintings and photography.  

The museum is regularly open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Admission is free.
