The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Cullman County beginning 11 p.m. Tuesday through 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The weather service says overnight lows may drop into the low to mid-20s on both Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures also could dip below freezing in northeastern Alabama on Friday.

The freeze will damage vegetation that has already produced blossoms and/or swollen buds, and fruit crops and berries will be at risk. Residents should take necessary precautions to protect any outside sensitive plants. Cold temperatures could also impact pipes along exterior walls.
While the northeastern United States is bracing for possible blizzard conditions, forecasters say that won’t be a problem in Alabama. Parts of the Tennessee Valley received nearly 1 inch of snow early Sunday.
