For its 74th annual meeting, the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce is having a ball — a Venetian-themed masquerade gala at Stone Bridge Farms Thursday.

The reservation-only, black-tie event will see local residents walk away with the Emma Marie Eddleman Citizen of the Year Award, the Lucile Galin Public Service Award, the Small Business of the Year Award, and Ambassador of the Year Award.
Chamber Board of Directors Chair Sammie Danford will also be recognized for her leadership as new programs and activities are rolled out for the year ahead.

The party gets underway when doors open at venue’s Brown Stone Centre at 5 p.m., with the program “Unmasking The Future” sponsored by Peoples Bank of Alabama starting at 6:30 p.m.
The event will feature decadent entrees and drinks, and if you’re not ready to go home just yet, you can attend the post-party from 8-10 p.m.
