PREP BASEBALL: Cullman County Tournament set to begin Thursday (UPDATED WITH NEWEST SCHEDULE)

This year’s Cullman County Baseball Tournament is slated to begin on Thursday and crown a champion on Friday.
The annual diamond showcase will take place at Good Hope and utilize a single-elimination format for the seven squads.
West Point defeated Fairview in the championship game last season for its third title since 2011. The Warriors will carry a bye to Friday, while No. 2 Fairview/No. 7 Holly Pond, No. 3 Hanceville/No. 6 Vinemont and No. 4 Good Hope/No. 5 Cold Springs will play first-round tilts.
Games are set for 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day.

Game 1: No. 4 Good Hope vs. No. 5 Cold Springs, 1 p.m.
Game 2: No. 3 Hanceville vs. No. 6 Vinemont, 3 p.m.
Game 3: No. 2 Fairview vs. No. 7 Holly Pond, 5 p.m.
Friday
Game 4: Game 1 Winner vs. No. 1 West Point, 1 p.m.
Game 5: Game 2 Winner vs. Game 3 Winner, 3 p.m.
Game 6: Championship, 5 p.m.
