- An empty Cullman Times newspaper rack is seen here.
Cullman Police are investigating the recent theft of money from at least two Cullman Times newspaper vending racks, according to an incident report.
The report filed by the newspaper states a witness saw a male unlock the racks and remove money at two businesses on Highway 157. The suspect left the scene in a light gray or silver-colored four-door Dodge Ram traveling toward U.S. 65 north.
The newspaper has recently received reports of similar incidents at other rack locations.
Although the racks are serviced on a regular basis, especially in the early morning hours when that day’s editions are placed in the racks, anyone noticing suspicious activity around the racks or might have information about the previous incidents is asked to notify police at 256-734-1434 or the newspaper’s audience development department at 256-734-2131.
